Sacramento, CA - California governor, Gavin Newsom has taken to Twitter in lieu of offering his yearly gubernatorial address.
The Sunshine State has experienced its fair share of trials over the last 365 days. From floods and earthquakes to record snowfall and the existence of San Francisco, they've been through it all. But after a year of reaping the whirlwind, Californians can at least breathe a sigh of relief that they will not have to listen to their real-life Bond villain monologue about his plans and achievements.
The State of the State Address, which no one outside of the room actually knew occurred every year, would have happened sometime in the near future. Instead, Newsom decided to save everyone some time and simply tweeted, "It's bad, guys," which was probably actually the best use of his account and everyone's time.
Citizens have praised the decision to forgo the event. Some are even saying it's the greatest thing he's ever done while in office.
